Ah, the poker steam. If a poker player claims at no time to have stared faced down the barrel of an upcoming steam – they are either lying or they haven’t been wagering very long. This does not mean obviously that everyone has gone on steam in the past, some people have excellent willpower and carry their squanderings as a loss and leave it at that. Since we are assumingly (almost all of us) playing poker for a single reason – to earn $$$$, it certainly makes sense that we will wager appropriately to maximize our profit potential. Now let’s say you are up $100 off of a $100 deposit, and you suffer a gigantic hit in a No Limits game and your bankroll is at one hundred and twenty dollars. You have lost $80 in a hand where you were certain to pick up $200two hundred dollars when you went all-in on the flop and had a 10 – 1 advantage. And that fiend! He banged you out on the river? – Well stop right here. This is a classic choice for a new gambler to start tilting. They just lost too much cash on one round that they really should have won and they are agitated
