Bad Luck in Poker

For a match where the majority of enthusiasts occasionally consider fortune, there are tonnes of superstitions in poker. When you say that a player was fortunate in that poker tournament they won, be mindful of how you say it. For example, if you mention that you were unfortunate, your luck may not change.

Ok, that may sound a bit strange, but poker is a game loaded with superstitions. Did you realize that if you are wagering a game with two seperate decks and you’re asked to pick the deck, you should always select the deck that is the furthest away from you? Or, what If you have a streak of terrible cards, you have to sit on a hankerchief to break your bad luck? It is certainly thought of as good luck to blow through a pack of cards while they’re being shuffled.

Some other interesting poker superstitions are:

  • You can change the run of cards by going around your chair three times.
  • The most beneficial chair at the poker table looks at the door.
  • The most detrimental chair has its rear to a fireplace.
  • When switching seats, you should always do so following the clock.
  • The most detrimental poker card is the four of clubs.
  • It is very unfortunate to sit with your legs crossed at the poker table.
  • Fri is a horrible day for gambling on cards.
  • The 13th is also a terrible day, regardless of when it falls.
