Annie Duke may not have attained her 1st WSOP Bracelet until 2004 but she is one of the most powerful poker competitors around the ring games at The Bellagio in Las Vegas. Annie’s long-awaited World Series of Poker bracelet came with success at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.
While competitors from the "young crowd" of poker go crazy following a big success at the tables, Annie heads home to be "mom" to her 4 children. She hails from New Hampshire and grew up in a family of card players. If you don’t believe that, have a look at her brother, Howard Lederer, in action, Howard taught her the best method to compete in poker.
However, Annie Duke is no small-potatoes girl and has captured her share of hard matches, including knocking out Howard a few times on numerous occasions.
Earning well over 3 million dollars in tournament action, Annie branched out to become a advisor to both UltimateBet and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to build up his techniques and become a big player in poker.
You might just notice Annie at the Bellagio, you will catch her on the tv and you may even play against her in an internet poker match, but do not bank on a simple win.
